The project applies, within the boundaries of Regione dell'Umbria, in the methodology for vulnerability assessment and conservative risk defined by Institute for Conservation and Restoration.
Regione dell'Umbria, in agreement with the National Department of Protezione Civile and the Ministero della Cultura, has sought to implement such a pilot project on a national scale, that would allow to link the analysis of a piece of heritage to an operational risk analysis, in the event of natural disasters.

The cataloguing activities were conducted through the use of a form called scheda sanitaria, and concerned a selection of architectural heritage located within the territories of Citerna, San Giustino, Città di Castello, Montone, Pietralunga, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Gubbio, Fossato di Vico e Spoleto, for 684 individual sheets and 164 complex sheets.

The data obtained from the sheets and the territorial hazard chart, were thus tuned up to build computational models of vulnerability and risk on different themes (earthquake, landslide, flood), applying a classification of the level of risk for each piece of work.
